Abstract

This study aims to analyse the impact of Contract Change Orders (CCO) on cost and project duration
in the construction of SMPN 7 Mengwi Building in Badung Regency. During implementation, the project
underwent three change orders due to adjustments in work volume and the addition of new work items
not listed in the initial Bill of Quantities (BOQ). The research method used is descriptive quantitative,
with primary data collected through field observations and secondary data from project documents such
as contract addendums, schedules, and BOQs. The analysis results indicate that CCOs contributed to
increased contract value and extended project timelines. Furthermore, it was found that the main causes
of CCOs were design changes, discrepancies in field conditions, and technical policy adjustments
during project execution. These findings underscore the importance of thorough planning and effective
project control to minimize CCO impacts on overall project performance.
