Abstract

Implementation of ISO 9001:2015 in the construction sector often faces various challenges, such as a lack of understanding of standard requirements, limited human resources, and weak management commitment. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 in the Hilton Garden Inn Extension construction project, specifically focusing on quality management of structural works. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and structural work checklists (columns, beams, and slabs). Questionnaire data were analyzed using the Likert scale to measure perceptions regarding the implementation of ISO 9001:2015. The results show that the level of ISO 9001:2015 implementation in this project reached 84.419%, categorized as "very good." The quality assessment of structural works varied between floors; the column work on the first floor scored 74.405%, categorized as "good," while the fifth floor reached 83.028%, categorized as "very good." For beam and slab work, the first floor achieved an average score of 65.116%, and the fifth floor 63.566%, both categorized as "good." The lower quality observed at the beginning of the project was mainly due to limited manpower and a lack of understanding of the quality management system. However, improvements were observed as additional personnel were assigned and regular evaluations were conducted. The main challenges identified in the implementation of this system included limited workforce, restricted project site area, and tight project timeline. Despite these obstacles, the company demonstrated strong commitment by implementing strengthened management strategies and intensive training programs, enabling the effective application of ISO 9001:2015.
