Construction projects, particularly high-rise building developments, often generate leftover materials, primarily reinforcing steel bars, which can lead to inefficiencies in construction costs. Reinforcing steel frequently results in waste across various projects. The aim of this research is to analyze the volume of reinforcing steel waste, identify the type of reinforcement work that produces the most waste, calculate the costs incurred due to this waste, and assess its impact on the total construction cost. This study applies a descriptive quantitative method by collecting secondary data, including the Bill of Quantities (BoQ), daily reports, and shop drawings. Data analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel to calculate material requirements, installed material volume, material waste, and the associated costs. The results of the analysis show that the total volume of reinforcing steel waste amounted to 30,548.47 kg, with the largest portion generated from pile cap reinforcement work at 7,377.178 kg. The total cost of reinforcing steel waste reached IDR 473,502,729.39, representing 0.38% of the overall construction cost of IDR 1,220,562,706.12.
