Abstract

Contract Change Order (CCO) refers to contract modifications that frequently occur in construction projects due to discrepancies between the initial plan and actual site conditions. The occurrence of CCO in project execution impacts both the project’s cost and schedule. This study aims to analyze the causes of Contract Change Orders and assess their impact on contract value and project duration. The research method employed is descriptive quantitative. The analysis reveals that the main causes of CCO include changes in foundation work from pile driving to bored piles, the addition and omission of certain work items, as well as the introduction of new work items. CCO in phases I and II did not alter the contract value. However, CCO in phase III resulted in an increase in the contract value from IDR 40,323,580,000.00 to IDR 44,355,938,000.00, representing a 10% increase. The project duration was also extended due to the CCO, from the original 150 days (22 weeks) to 195 days (28 weeks)
