Abstract

This study aims to optimize the productivity and operational costs of using excavator heavy machinery in the construction project of the New Building of State Senior High School 9 Denpasar. In large-scale construction projects, the use of heavy equipment is crucial for accelerating and facilitating the execution of tasks. Therefore, an in-depth analysis of heavy machinery usage is necessary to optimize the time and costs of project implementation. The research methods include direct field observations, interviews with operators and project implementers, as well as relevant document studies. The research stages encompass the collection of data on equipment specifications, operator data, work methods, cycle times for excavation and precast concrete installation, scheduling, job factors, and the project budget plan (RAB). The analysis results indicate that the operation of a single unit of SANY SY75C excavator requires a cost of Rp91,262,599.68, with a total completion duration of 28 calendar days. This study emphasizes the importance of productivity and operational cost analysis in construction projects to enhance implementation efficiency.
