This study analyzes the influence of Pasar Anyar activity on the performance of Jalan Diponegoro in Singaraja, which is a vital route and center of economic activity. High market activity on certain days causes a significant increase in vehicle volume and side barriers, thus reducing the level of road service. This study aims to identify traffic characteristics, measure side barriers due to market activity, and evaluate road performance both with and without market activity. The methods used include field surveys to collect primary data (traffic volume, speed, density, side barriers) and analysis using the MKJI 1997 approach. The results show that the highest traffic volume occurs on Monday mornings at 2,304.6 pcu/hour, with an average speed of 46.2 km/hour and the highest density of 35.5 pcu/km. Side barriers reach the 1.009,5 SF/Hour Very High category when the market is active, and 451,9 SF/Hour Medium when the market is not active. The value of the degree of saturation (DS) when the market is active is 1,05 (Level F) and decreases to 0.58 (Level C) when the market is not active. Thus, market activity has been shown to significantly impact road performance degradation. This study contributes to more effective transportation planning in downtown areas.
