Abstract

Project scheduling is a crucial aspect of construction management to prevent delays and cost overruns. This study was conducted on the construction project of SMP Negeri 3 Kuta, located in Badung Regency, which had an actual implementation duration of 169 calendar days. The scheduling analysis methods used in this study were the Critical Path Method (CPM) and the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT). Based on the calculations, CPM resulted in a planned duration of 154 days, while PERT produced an expected time (Te) of 158 days. Probability analysis using the z-score distribution showed that the likelihood of completing the project within 154 days was only 14,03%, within 158 days was 50%, and within 168 days was 100%. These results indicate that although the initial CPM-based plan was efficient, the PERT approach provides a more realistic perspective in anticipating schedule risks. Therefore, integrating both CPM and PERT methods is highly recommended to produce a project schedule that is both efficient and adaptable to field uncertainties.
