This study aims to optimize the time and cost of the overlay work on the Periodic Maintenance Project of Surapati Road in Denpasar by applying the time cost trade off method supported by Primavera P6 software. The research is motivated by the potential delay in project implementation, which can increase indirect costs and reduce overall project performance. The data used consist of primary data obtained from field observations of working duration and labor productivity, and secondary data in the form of the bill of quantities, project schedule, and planning documents provided by the contractor. The analysis begins with identifying the critical path, followed by calculating normal productivity, productivity under overtime scenarios, normal costs, overtime costs, crash duration, crash cost, and cost slope for each critical activity. Several acceleration scenarios are developed by adding 2, 3, and 4 hours of overtime per day to activities located on the critical path. The results indicate that the 2-hour overtime scenario reduces the project duration from 148 to 143 days, with an increase in direct costs but a greater decrease in indirect costs, resulting in a lower total project cost compared with the normal condition.Although the 3-hour and 4-hour overtime scenarios provide shorter project durations, the additional direct costs are higher so that the reduction in total costs is less efficient than the 2-hour scenario. Therefore, the 2-hour overtime alternative is considered the most optimal solution, as it achieves a reasonable time acceleration while maintaining cost efficiency and acceptable labor productivity. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for contractors and project owners in planning overtime-based acceleration strategies for similar road projects.
