ANALISIS PRODUKTIVITAS DAN EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN TOWER CRANE PADA PROYEK PEMBANGUNAN RSUD SUWITI DI PLAGA, BADUNG

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the productivity and effectiveness of tower crane usage in the construction project of RSUD Suwiti in Plaga, Badung. Tower cranes are essential heavy equipment in multi-story building construction, yet their operational efficiency is significantly influenced by various technical and managerial factors. The research method employed is descriptive quantitative, with primary data collected through field observations over 14 working days and secondary data obtained from project documentation.The results indicate that the average productivity of the tower crane reached 8,540.33 kg/hour, with the highest productivity recorded at 11,132.22 kg/hour and the lowest at 5,545.82 kg/hour. The average time effectiveness of tower crane usage was 29%, which is categorized as low. This low effectiveness is attributed to high idle time and suboptimal operational coordination on site.This research contributes to the quantitative measurement of heavy equipment performance and can serve as a reference for contractors and project managers to improve tower crane operational efficiency through better planning, routine maintenance, and optimal equipment placement
