Abstract

Construction project delays are one of the main challenges in achieving implementation efficiency and cost control. The construction project for SD Negeri 4 Blahkiuh experienced delays due to a shortage of labor and material procurement constraints. This study aims to determine the differences in costs and time resulting from each method and to identify the most effective and efficient acceleration strategies. Therefore, this study was conducted to compare two project acceleration methods: increasing working hours (overtime) and adding labor, using the Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO) approach. The analysis results show that acceleration through the addition of labor results in lower total costs compared to overtime, namely IDR 2,324,798,714.54 (an increase of 2.70%) compared to the cost of 4 hours of overtime, which is IDR 2,349,047,839.17 (an increase of 3.77%). In terms of duration, increasing the workforce can shorten the time by 16 days (8.89%), while overtime can only reduce it by 13 days (7.22%). Based on the scoring results of the three weighted scenarios (duration-cost-balance), the acceleration method with an increase in the workforce of Type 4 is considered the most optimal.
