As time progresses, many renewable technologies are created with the emergence of various new innovations, especially in the construction sector. One of the construction jobs that has new innovations is formwork work. Currently, better quality formwork has begun to be used for work on construction projects, especially on multi- storey building construction projects. Therefore, it is very necessary to carry out an analysis of the formwork material construction.
This formwork is often used in project work, the project work is column construction work. In general, the work of making structural columns uses conventional formwork which requires quite a long time to assemble and is quite expensive if a large number of columns are required. However, currently formwork work can be done using semi system formwork, where this formwork consists of multiplex material with 4 x 4 cm hollow iron as the frame, which results in faster installation times and cheaper costs if casting is done in large quantities, because can be used repeatedly.
The results of the study indicate that there is a difference in cost and time between conventional and semi-system formwork, where the cost difference is 31.7% or Rp 31,552,053, and the time comparison is 51.57 hours. This study proves that technological advances in the field of formwork can speed up and make work cheaper in terms of cost.
