ANALISIS KERUSAKAN PERKERASAN JALAN DI RUAS JALAN RAYA BANDA - JALAN RAYA TIHINGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE PAVEMENT CONDITION INDEX (PCI)

Abstract

This research was motivated by road damage on the Banda Raya – Tihingan Raya Road section in Klungkung Regency, triggered by heavy traffic loads, affecting the comfort and safety of road users. The objectives of the study were to identify the type of damage, assess the pavement condition using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, and calculate repair costs based on recommended repairs. The research methods included a field survey of a 3-km road section divided into 30 segments, visual observation of the type and extent of damage, data processing using the PCI method, and repair cost analysis. The results showed that the dominant types of damage included alligator cracks, edge cracks, longitudinal cracks, potholes, patches, depressions, and block cracks, with an average PCI value in the poor to very poor category, requiring reconstruction and overlay repairs. The Budget Plan (RAB) calculation indicated a funding requirement of approximately IDR 5.1 billion for all segments.
