Abstract

The Payangan road section at KM 35 in Gianyar Regency, located on high ground with cliffs 15–20 m high, experienced a landslide on 25 December 2023, disrupting traffic flow between Denpasar and Kintamani. Slope stability analysis is important to evaluate the potential for landslides and safety factors. Using the GeoStudio Slope/W application with the Bishop, Janbu, and Morgenstern-Price methods, the analysis results showed an average safety factor of 0.75, below the minimum requirement of 1.5, indicating a potential for landslides during an earthquake. After implementing the Soil Nailing method, the safety factor increased to an average of 4.69, while Geotextiles and DPT increased to 3.75 and 2, respectively, supporting a comprehensive risk management strategy.
