In reinforced concrete structural works for buildings, a high amount of reinforcement steel material is required; therefore, its usage must be carefully and accurately calculated to ensure optimal material control. The purpose of this research is to determine the total requirement of reinforcement steel material and the percentage of waste material using the Bar Bending Schedule method in the Hilton Garden Inn Extension project. The method used is a comparative analysis approach. The data analysis was carried out by calculating the requirement and waste of reinforcement steel material. The analysis results show that the reinforcement steel requirement consists of 1176 bars of ø8 with a weight of 5550.40 kg, 2253 bars of D10 with a weight of 18,697.19 kg, 3284 bars of D13 with a weight of 39,586.99 kg, 1546 bars of D16 with a weight of 27,616.14 kg, 662 bars of D19 with a weight of 16,575.07 kg, and 1270 bars of D22 with a weight of 41,403.30 kg. The total requirement of reinforcement steel material for all reinforced concrete structural works is 149,429.1 kg. From the waste calculation, the average percentage of reinforcement steel waste for all reinforced concrete structural works is 4.64%.
