Abstract

This study evaluates the roof frame structure of the Mengwi 6 State Junior High School building. During construction, the building did not use a standard frame structure. Therefore, questions arose as to whether the installed frame structure was safe to support the loads. This study aimed to determine the strength of the tension members, compression members, and connections by analyzing the resulting internal forces. The evaluation of the roof frame structure and the applied loads were conducted in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). The roof frame structure was evaluated in 3D using SAP2000 software. Based on the evaluation of each frame structure element, consisting of tension members, compression members, and connections, it was concluded that the compression member structure was not yet safe for use, while the tension member structure and connections in the roof frame met the safety requirements and were suitable for use.
