Abstract

The maintenance of the Ayung River aims not only to maintain the cleanliness and smooth flow of the river itself, but also as part of a broader environmental conservation effort to create a more environmentally friendly and sustainable city. This study aims to identify, assess, and determine risk acceptance, determine dominant risks, and provide mitigation and risk ownership for these dominant risks to determine the costs and time associated with them. The study used a qualitative descriptive method. Brainstorming and questionnaires were selected as data collection techniques, with 26 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Fifteen valid risk identifications were obtained, based on the results of brainstorming with the involved parties. The results of the risk assessment and acceptance consisted of 9 unacceptable risks with 3 types of mitigation measures taken: reducing, transferring, and avoiding the risk; and 6 undesirable risks with 1 type of mitigation measure taken: reducing the impact. The dominant unacceptable risk is the difficulty of drilling due to sandy soil in the downstream area. Mitigation for this dominant risk is carried out by using protective casing in the form of pipes to prevent sand from entering the drilling area or by changing the work item from drilling to a multi-purpose panel system.
