Abstract

Materials are a major component in construction projects which are always related to project costs. One of the materials that has a considerable cost value is reinforcement. Reinforcement often experiences waste in every project, so it is necessary to carry out more detailed planning in order to get optimal iron needs. This study aims to determine the need for reinforcement, waste reinforcement, and the percentage of waste reinforcement that occur. The study method used is quantitative descriptive. Data analysis was carried out using the Bar Bending Schedule method calculated on the work  of the basement structure and the 1st floor of the Sumitra Hotel and Resort Project. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the total amount of needs was 76,475.90 kg and waste was 1,516.90 kg. The cost of necessities is IDR 744,519,530.80 while the cost of waste is IDR 14,767,536.17. The waste percentage obtained was 1,98%, which is smaller than the waste tolerance in SNI of 5%.
