EVALUASI MANAJEMEN MATERIAL PADA PROYEK PEMBANGUNAN UNIT SEKOLAH BARU SMA NEGERI 2 SUKAWATI KABUPATEN GIANYAR

Abstract

The success of a construction project can be seen from existing resources and influenced by material management. Material management is the most dominant component, so it is necessary to manage and implement good material management. This research aims to find out how the management process and implementation of material management is in the construction project for a new school unit at SMA Negeri 2 Sukawati in Gianyar Regency, both from the material ordering process to the material storage process.The research location for this research is the construction project for a new school unit at SMA Negeri 2 Sukawati in Gianyar Regency. This research was carried out by creating structured questions about the process and management and implementation of material management in the construction of the new school unit at SMA Negeri 2 Sukawati in Gianyar Regency. Then, interviews were conducted with respondents who were directly involved in project work, and the data was analyzed for its suitability to the observation conditions that occurred in the field.Based on the research results, it was found that the main obstacle in the process of implementing and managing material management for the new school unit construction project at SMA Negeri 2 Sukawati in Gianyar Regency, namely the lack of good human resources (labor) in understanding the importance of a material management process both from the ordering process to material storage process. Mitigations measures can be taken for this, such as increasing the number of storage warehouse and creating security posts.
