Abstract

In traveling to the Warmadewa University, the academic community is faced with various choices
of transportation modes. The many choices of modes used to travel to campus will certainly affect the
existing traffic system. This condition also has the potential to increase the volume of vehicles heading to
the Warmadewa University campus every year. This study aims to determine the selection of transportation
modes for the academic community of the Faculty of Engineering, Warmadewa University in traveling to
campus. This research method uses quantitative methods. The sampling technique used simple random
sampling technique, with a total sample of 100 people from the academic community of the Faculty of
Engineering, Warmadewa University. data collection was carried out using the analytical hierarchy
process method. Respondents were mostly male (75%) and the majority of respondents were students
(89%). Most respondents used motorcycle mode (84%) and the majority of respondents' travel duration
was 30 minutes - 1 hour (39%). The results of data analysis using Expert Choice v.11 software showed that
the main priority for the Academic Community of the Faculty of Engineering Warmadewa in choosing the
mode of travel at the criteria level was the cost criterion with the highest weight of 34.8%, the safety
criterion of 25.3%, the time criterion of 24.9%, and the comfort criterion of 15%, with the Inconsistency
ratio value as high as 34.8%.
