Abstract

The foundation is the most important part in planning the substructure, because selecting an appropriate foundation for a building can expedite the construction work process for that building. The foundation is a building structure that is at the bottom of the building. The existence of a foundation cannot be separated from the structure of the building itself, because the foundation is the part of the structure that distributes the load from the structure above it to the supporting soil layers below it without any settlement in the structural system. The objective of this final assignment is to find out the working methods of each foundation, calculate the costs of implementation and calculate the implementation time and impact on the surrounding environment. For the borepile foundation, the soil is drilled first, followed by installing reinforcement and casting, while for the pile foundation, the press method is used with a jack-in type hydraulic tool with a capacity of 120 tons at the erection stage. Based on the calculation results, the cost of implementing a borepile foundation is cheaper than a pile foundation
