Abstract

Time and cost are the main elements that greatly affect the success of a project. A project is said to be successful if it has a short completion time at a minimum cost without neglecting the quality of the work. In its implementation, there is often a mismatch between the planned schedule and the realization in the field. This results in delays in project completion. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to accelerate the project implementation time. In this study, acceleration will be carried out on the work on the critical trajectory using the Precedence Diagram Method. The acceleration alternative used is to increase working hours (overtime) and the number of workers. The purpose of this study is to determine the comparison of time and cost between alternative acceleration of adding overtime hours and adding labor using the Precedence Diagram Method. The results of the analysis show that in the acceleration alternative with the addition of working hours (overtime) obtained an additional cost of 39%. For acceleration alternatives by adding the number of workers, an additional cost of 31% is obtained. For the addition of overtime working hours with the addition of labor in terms of duration, the same is reduced by 58 days
