Abstract

Miscalculation of volume and budget details is one of the obstacles in the world of construction. In the current era, the creation of new technology that can influence the working method of project construction before it is built. The technology in question is 3D-based Building Information Modeling (BIM). The purpose of this research is to apply BIM modeling with Tekla Structures software in 3D modeling as a comparison to conventional methods in terms of volume & cost in the construction project of New Office PT. Tunas Jaya Sanur.

 

This research was carried out by modeling on Tekla Structures and collecting data in the form of Shop Drawing & RAB obtained from the contractor, the entire modeling process followed the references and details used by the contractor.

Tekla Structures simplifies users in building modeling processes, such as material type, profile shape just by entering data in each parameter. In this research, the ratio obtained in concrete structures was 3% with a cost difference of Rp 49.617.135,25 while the comparison in rebar structures was 5% (kg) and 5% (m2) with a cost difference of Rp 188.400.652,11.
