In construction, there are two known methods of concrete work used, namely the conventional method and the precast method. Conventional methods are those in which all work is carried out at the project site from the installation of reinforcing steel to casting. Meanwhile, the precast method is carried out at a different location from the project site but requires transportation and conveyance for the transportation of precast components. The implementation stage involves heavy equipment for each installation of precast components. This study was conducted to determine the comparison of the cost and time of implementation of conventional and precast method beams, the calculation data of conventional and precast methods were taken from the project with a case study on the Faculty of Law Udayana University Building Construction Project.
The results of this study obtained a comparison of cost and time between conventional methods and precast methods on beam structures where conventional methods amounted to Rp. 240,816,083.04 and precast concrete methods amounted to Rp. 266,499,748.06. The price difference between conventional concrete methods and precast concrete is Rp. 25,683,665.02 or precast concrete methods are 9.64% more expensive than conventional concrete methods. The results of the analysis of the duration of the beam structure of the conventional concrete method are 14 days and for the analysis of the duration of the beam structure of the precast precast concrete method is 7 days, with the difference in processing time being 7 days faster implementation of the precast method
