Abstract

Earthquake is often occuring in Indonesia. Therefore, the bulding’s factor of safety because of the
earthquake is needed to be carefully calculated. One of the lower sturctutre’s failure related to earthquake
is soil liquefaction. This study aim is to calculate shallow foundation’s bearing capacity before liquefaction
and compare it during liquefaction. This study is quantitative study with field data sampling. Result of the
sampling is used to calculate bearing capacity manually and use numerical software Geostudio. The result
of this study shows that shallow foundation bearing capacity during liquefaction is reduced 88,1 %.
