Abstract

Until now, the supply of quality drinking water in Nganjuk Regency is still lacking. This is
inversely proportional to the increasing annual population growth. So it is necessary to fulfill drinking
water both in quality and quantity. Fulfillment of the quality in question is carried out by building a new
drinking water management unit with a planning period of 20 years (2019-2040). While the fulfillment of
the quantity is by utilizing Brantas river water at (820,000 L / sec) as a source of planning. From the
projection results, the population in 2040 will be 155,916.9 people, with a maximum daily need of (668.68
L / second). The discharge to be processed in this plan is 351,000 L / s from the Brantas river in Kertosono
District. The results of the analysis determined the processing unit in alternative 1 using Intake, Presedimentation,
Coagulation, Flocculation, Sedimentation, Filtration, Disinfection and Reservoir
