In package 2, the Beringin Sila Dams work items include spillway, buildings
facilities, and access roads. In accordance with one of the conditions in the planning of
the construction of a dams, the permeability figure or lugeon value becomes a reference
in determining the feasibility of a dams. A good lugeon value for a normal dam ranges
from 1 to 3. To meet these requirements, one of them is done foundation repair by
grouting method. The grouting method is the job of filling cavities and cracks in
foundation rocks by injecting a mixture of cement and water with adjusted pressure. To
find out the method of implementation and effectiveness of grouting methods, more indepth
research is needed. Based on the observation of grouting work, the grouting
working method is started with a grouting test work to determine the pattern, distance
and depth of the grouting hole so that a working image can be created. Grouting work
in the field begins with drilling work and continued water pressure test (WPT) work to
find the value of lugeon,the value of this lugeon that determines the cement injection or
grouting work. If the lugeon value ˂ 3, then there is no need to do grouting cement
injection and if the value of lugeon ˃ 3 then cement injection is done with a ratio ratio
of cement and water in accordance with the lugeon value. After the grouting work
process is completed, the grouting hole is closed called plugging. The result of the level
of effectiveness of foundation repair with grouting methods on the Beringin Sila Dams
construction project can be categorized Good with improvement values in Block 112CS
= 87.3% and Block 112B1-S 75.96%.
