Abstract

The construction industry in Indonesia still faces inefficiencies in the implementation
phase. There is still a lot of waste, but it does not add value. The waste in this study
focused on nonphysical construction waste such as defects, waiting, unnecessary
inventory, inappropriate processing, unnecessary motion, excessive transportation, and
over production.
In this research, waste identification, improvement recommendations, through
observation methods, questionnaires, and borda, and total duration through the CCPM
method.
The results showed the highest waste was waiting, defects and inappropriate processing
with a value of 0.305, 0.289, 0.166. Recommended improvements are quality at the
sources, weekly work plan, six week lookahead, work standards, reducing set up time,
building long-term relationships with suppliers, implementing 5S, Lean Supply, Just-intime
delivery, daily hunddle meeting work balancing, check list equipment, creating IK
Change workflows, scheduling, and workflow analysis. Then, from CCPM, the feeding
buffer is obtained by 3.5 days and the project buffer by 33 days. So the estimated total
duration of project completion is 158.5 days if the project buffer is consumed in its
entirety
