Abstract

Traditional Balinese architecture is formed from a blend of cultures that have a
close relationship with religion, customs, and environmental conditions. The use of
wood and bamboo materials in the construction of traditional Balinese buildings
will affect the structure, which has an impact on the shape of the building. Research
on Balinese style woodwork begins by determining the location of the work, namely
in the Gianyar area. Furthermore, labor productivity, calculating material
requirements, calculating tool requirements. The works reviewed are (1) carving
saka, (2) plain saka, (3) gembol symbol, (4) sari symbol, (5) plain symbol, (6)
carved door. The unit index in Balinese style wood work consists of material and
wage components. The wood material index for saka work is 0.057 m3 and the
symbol work is 0.024 m3. The labor index of each job varies depending on the type
of carving
