Abstract

Construction can damage the environment if not managed properly. Model Assessment
Green Construction (MAGC) is an assessment system developed by Ervianto to assess the
implementation of green construction. The research aims to identify and assess the
implementation of green construction in the Gianyar Public Market Development Project
and to determine the dominant constraint factors in its implementation.
Green construction can reduce the environmental damage that occurs from the beginning
of planning to deconstruction. This study uses 6 aspects, 16 factors, and 142 indicators
obtained through MAGC. The method used is descriptive qualitative and data analysis
using the MAGC formula to obtain NGC (Green construction Value). Furthermore, for
indicators that are not implemented, the constraints are identified through a
questionnaire. Furthermore, the dominant constraint is selected as well as the
recommended efforts to overcome the dominant constraint.
The total value of Green Construction is 80 implementations (56,34%) for the
Occupational Health and Safety Aspect, which is 15 implementations (75%), for the Air
Quality and Comfort Aspect, which is 7 (43,75%), for the Building Environmental
Management Aspect, which is 24 (61,54%), for the Source and Material Cycle Aspect,
which is 9 (60%), for the Appropriate Land Use Aspect, which is 13 (59,09%), and for
the Water and Energy Conservation Aspect, which is 12 (40%) so that it has not reached
Ideal NGC is 142 (100%) and Best NGC is 107 (70,35%). In addition, the dominant
obstacle in implementing green construction is the priority constraint factor created by
external pressure which the government must respond to
