Language is a social phenomenon and its existence is multidimensional. Language will grow and develop in line with the times. The open nature of the Indonesian language provides many opportunities for the entry of other elements and language orders. This has a quite positive impact, if it is applied selectively. The language renewal that occurred signaled the need for wise wisdom and polite language ethics. This study aims to examine how the application of green ethic in WhatsApp (WA) language is carried out by students of the Denpasar Poltekkes Polytechnic and the Bali State Polytechnic. The method carried out in data collection is the observation method, with a free participate observation technique and a documentation method. The number of samples taken was 40 students from 20 people from the Midwifery Study Program of the Polytechnic and 20 people from the Business Administration Study Program of the Bali State Polytechnic. The number of WA data collected is 126 WA records. The collected data was analyzed by qualitative descriptive methods with distributive analysis techniques. Quantitative analysis was carried out by descriptive statistical methods to calculate the average percentage and frequency distribution of politeness in the WA language. The results of the study show that the WhatsApp language of Denpasar Polytechnic students is more patterned, structured, and more polite than the WhatsApp language of Bali State Polytechnic students. This is inseparable from the role of the Poltekkes institution which has provided debriefing on manners, ethics, and rules in communicating, especially in communicating with WhatsApp.
