Abstract

Technological developments have changed various aspects of life, including education. Several applications or learning platforms are available to help students or teachers find and explore information as quickly as possible. However, this development has made several teachers, especially those teaching Indonesian language subjects, afraid because their role as educators will be replaced by technology such as AI. In fact, teachers must be able to collaborate with the use of current technology to become creative, innovative and collaborative learning materials. This study discusses the role of teachers in technological development, technological developments in language learning, the importance of adaptation and training, and the future of teachers in the current era of artificial intelligence (AI). The method in this research is descriptive qualitative with in-depth interview data collection methods.
